At Sugoicon, we continue to try new twists on old favorites, and the Cosplay is no exception! If you're nervous about the idea of getting up onstage, have no worries on that score -- there is no stage! Instead, we'll have a friendly and informal reception, cosplayers mingling with congoers, with judging quietly going off on the side. All the prizes are based on costume quality, so you don't need to have a skit ready... but hamming it up for the crowd never hurts, ne?

Sugoi will be introducing a separate cosplay event for skits this year. For those cosplayers who have been requesting the chance to perform a skit or a battle for the benefit of our judges, your wish has been granted. The event will be held at the same time as the regular cosplay judging (those wanting to participate in both events will be allowed to do so) , so come prepared to show your acting skill! Please note: There is no requirement to be involved in a skit in order to participate in our regular cosplay judging.
