We're thrilled to announce that Steve Conte will be performing in concert at SugoiCon Friday night, November 16. If you've seen Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (Living Inside the Shell), Wolf's Rain (Stray), or Cowboy Bebop (Call Me Call Me, Diggin'), you've heard Steve's distinctive voice and guitar in collaboration with composer Yoko Kanno. He recently joined the revamped lineup of legendary glam-rock pioneers the New York Dolls, and is also currently working on other studio projects.

In addition to Friday's concert, Steve will be signing autographs and meeting fans at SugoiCon early Saturday. Don't miss this chance to hear one of the most recognizable voices in anime music today!

Yet another update in our march to the convention.

A partial list of vendors that will be attending has been started on the vendors page, and a new updated map of the convention has been added to the location information page.

We've received word from Sofia Mendez that she'll be unable to attend SugoiCon due to a scheduling conflict. She was looking forward to making her convention debut with us, and she's extremely disappointed that she can't. She hopes everyone understands and she sends her best wishes.

However, we do, have another voice actor to fill in, making her convention debut: Hannah Alcorn, who appeared in UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie 3. More info about Hannah will follow, as she's involved in some new projects...but we can't talk about that yet.

Unfortunately, right after the ink dried on the deal we have received word that Mr. Yao has had to cancel his appearance at Sugoi Con for this year due to a last second change in his work schedule that put a recording session right smack in the middle of Sugoi Con's weekend. Mr. Yao extends his sincerest apologies that he can't make it this year. But, all is not lost! We are still working on getting at least one more Japanese guest, so please bear with us as we work out the final details.

Sugoi Con is proud to announce our first Japanese Guest of Honor for this year! Please welcome veteran voice actor Kazuki Yao! He's been working in the anime industry for a long time, and everyone is sure to know at least one of the characters he has played. We only have a preliminary bio for him at the moment on the Guests page, but look for the full bio coming soon!

The Cosplay page has been updated. Why? SKITS! Go check it out on our cosplay page. Vendors tables? SOLD OUT! Guests? There are some changes coming soon. I can't say anything just yet, but it's coming.

We're excited to announce another addition to our American guests this year! We have added webcomic artist James Hatton, Creator of "In His Likeness". We have also added a hotel map pdf that you can download from either the live programming or the location info pages. Keep watching for further updates!
