We have finally recovered from attending
Anime Central last weekend and
we who sat at the Sugoi Con table in the dealer's room would like
to thank all the nice people who stopped by to say hi, or to pre-reg!
For those who were not able to attend Anime Central this year, you
missed out on a great con and a great time.
Anyway, on to business... Sugoi Con is pleased to announce a virtual
avalanche of new Guests of Honor for this year's convention! We
welcome Monica Rial, Greg Ayres, Jan Scott-Frazier,
Doug Smith, Neil Nadelman and our first Japanese GOH, Kazuko Tadano!
Finally, I would like to thank all the people who responded to our
call for staff! We still have openings in a number of departments,
but I think we have enough english majors now. ^_^;;

Pre-Registration
for SugoiCon 2004 is now open! If you want to save some money,
or if you just want to avoid long lines at the convention, pre-registration
for 2004 is now available.
April 12, 2004 - SugoiCon Needs YOUR Help!
Things are moving along nicely behind
the scenes at the con right now but we DO have an immediate
need for more staffers! Anime conventions can't happen without
the donation of time and energy from dedicated fans and we're starting
to run low on fanpower. We can use volunteers in just about every
department, but we have a particular need for fans who have skills
in the areas of art, page layout/design, and writing (any English
majors out there?). If you have what it takes to be a SugoiCon staffer
(it doesn't take much ^_^) and would like to help out, please send
a message to Dana
Weaver and tell us what you would like to help out with.

There was a snafu with our DNS entry
this past week which prevented users from accessing the Sugoicon
website. The problems have now been straightened out. We sincerely
apologize for any inconveniences our site outage may have caused
you.

Thanks for a great 2003! We'll have
